Sutter County is committed to sustainability through a collaborative effort with local farmers, the Department of Agriculture, Sequoia Environmental Compliance Council, and Recycling Industries to recycle agricultural chemical containers. In 2024, over 87,700 lbs of clean plastic containers were collected, preventing waste from ending up in landfills or being burned. Additionally, the empty bulk bag program helps California rice growers properly dispose of pesticide bags, further supporting responsible environmental practices.
Join us in promoting sustainability—participate in our recycling programs and help protect Sutter County’s agricultural future!
